Our office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am until 5:30pm. For all after hours emergencies we can be contacted on 03 5480749 or 0212966827.

Q. Do I need to be on site for a quote?

We usually meet property owners on site to give a quote. But we can provide you with a quote left in your mailbox or by email if we have enough information from you and you are unable to be there. We will need a clear description of what you would like done, along with the species and location of the tree/s within your property.

If you are in need of a quote for tree removal, it is helpful if you are able to clearly mark which trees you would like to be removed.

Q. Do you supply mulch?

Yes, many of our client’s like to keep the mulch to use on their garden.  If you would prefer it taken away that is not a problem.  We have a list of clients who regularly want mulch and we deliver this to them as requested. If you would like to have some lovely mulch for your garden, please get in touch.

Q. What happens to the mulch after my stump is removed?

If Nelson Tree Specialists provide stump grinding services for you, you can expect the mulch will be raked back into a pile and left onsite (where the stump was). You can take advantage of using this mulch for garden beds or it makes for great compost. We do not remove the mulch created from stump grinding operations unless it is specified in the quote.

Q. Can I keep my wood for firewood?

NTS staff can leave the wood cut into firewood rounds for you, or you may wish to keep it for a friend who has a fire. Any of the smaller branches can be left in manageable bits otherwise it will go through the chipper to make lovely woody mulch.

The removal of wood from your site can be arranged.
